Why Analog Tape Still The Best Media for Recording?

        Learned from ATR website, the best digital technology now can provide 4,608,000 bits switching per second to record music signal.....WOW, quite a lot.........BUT....
        In 1950~1960, analog tape could provide 65,000,000 magnetic particles per second for recording under 1/4", 15ips conditions!!  So you know why those analog recordings from 1960/70 are so great!
        Now based on latest and highest end analog tape like ATR can provide 80,000,000 magnetic particles per track per second under 1/4", 2 track, 15ips conditions!!!
        Image....if you go 30ips and 1/2"/2 track conditions, you can have 320,000,000 magnetic particles for recording per track per second and digital has never a chance to match it.
